Emergency Food Assistance for the flood affected families at Parshuram and Sonagazi, Feni district

With support from IMPACT Foundation UK, IMPACT Foundation Bangladesh (IFB) organized emergency food relief for the people affected by the recent flood at Parshuram and Sonagazi Upazila of Feni district. IMPACT Foundation Bangladesh distributed food packages to 1250 distressed families on 11th and 14th September, 2024. Each food package contained: rice ( 10 kg); potato (2 kg); pulse ( 1 kg); soybean oil (1 liter); onion (1 kg); salt (1 kg); Soap (1); Milk powder (200 gm); semolina (1 kg); sugar (1 kg); Lighter (1), Sanitary Napkin (1 packet); water purification tablet (40), ORS (6 packet) and bleaching powder (500 gm). In the next phase, IFB will provide essential healthcare services to 5000 patients in the worst affected communities in those two upazilas. A medical team consisting of doctor, nurse, health aid and local volunteers has been formed, and the medical team will start their activity during the third week of September, 2024.
