Leprosy Project

In partnership with the Leprosy Mission International Bangladesh (TLMI,B), Impact Foundation Bangladesh (IFB) has been implementing a projecttitled ‘Activating and Engaging Government and People in Partnership (AEP)’ to support people affected by leprosy in Chuadanga district.

Since July 2019, IFB has been playing a significant role in increasing public awareness, reducing stigma, promoting early diagnosis and treatment of leprosy patients in Chuadanga. One of the keyaims of the project is to ensure access to free and quality treatment through the identification and registration of leprosy patients at government hospitals.Beyond clinical intervention, the project also emphasizes the long-term social integration and well-being of individuals affected by leprosy by facilitating the formation of Self-Help Groups, empoweringindividuals to engage with income-generating activities, rebuild self-confidence, and support their families with renewed dignity.

IFB commits to inclusive healthcare so that no one is left behind in society. The project supports IFB in the reduction of neglected tropical diseases and the creation of sustainable opportunities for affected individuals to lead healthy, self-reliant lives.
