Impact Foundation Bangladesh’s mobile hospital – ‘Jibon Jatra’ was launched in 2016 to take essential healthcare services to people living in the remotest, rural areas in Chuadanga, Meherpur, and nearby districts.

The hospital on wheels has since been offering specialized healthcare services through its eye care, gynecology, and orthopedic units by a group of professional doctors, nurses, and health workers. The eye unit is equipped with an auto-refractometer, vision chart, trial lens set, and other diagnostic tools.

The mobile van takes essential and primary healthcare to the doorsteps of hard-to-reach people, breaking down the barrier of distance. It also serves as a platform for health awareness and education, regularly organizing health camps promoting knowledge about preventable diseases, maternal and child health, and providing basic screenings and primary medical care.
