Impact Nursing Institute (INI), the sole educational project of Impact Foundation Bangladesh, was established in March 2014 to offer a three-year Diploma degree in Nursing and Midwifery, accredited by the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC), and follows a nationally approved curriculum aligned with the World Health Organization (WHO) standard, empowering rural, meritorious, young girls from Meherpur and surrounding districts, who lack the opportunity to continue education after they pass their higher secondary certificate (HSC) examination.

The educational institution offers a transformative journey and focuses on overall development of the students, engaging them in various cultural, recreational and extracurricular activities. Starting with only 20 students each year, INI has increased its capacity to enroll 50 students annually to meet the rising need for skilled nurses in Bangladesh. To accommodate the growing need, a newly constructed seven-story educational facility- the ‘Jibon Mela’ Nursing Academy, consisting of modern classrooms, spacious practical labs, a library, student accommodation, an administrative block, separate dining areas, a kitchen, and a gymnasium has been built.

Alongside academic excellence, INI has been playing a vital role in fostering self-confidence, compassion and leadership qualities among the students, which lead them to become professionally committed to national health development.
